June kit is here!

My June kit is in the stores this week-end. I want to send a special thanks to Just Let Me Scrapbook - my newest customer - THANKS for trying our kits. I am adding their on-line store to the links and please visit their brick and mortar store if you are ever in Barnesville, Ga. Here are the rest of the layout ideas for June. In addition to fantastic beach pictures, I noticed that the papers go great with fall colors (oranges, browns, reds are all in there). Take a close look at this part of the surfer layout - I stamped and inked the wood chips to make surfboards - it was fun! Loved using those scenic route journaling spots and stencil letters too.

This month's kit includes instruction for making your own picture puzzle blocks. This was a really fun activity for my 6 (and 2!) year olds. The 6 year old was able to make the puzzle pretty independently and the 2 year old had a blast painting the wood blocks with her "no mess" type paints. It's going to make a great Father's Day gift for someone ...

June kit coming soon!

Here is a preview of the June kit which will be arriving in stores by June 1st. This kit was even more fun than last month's - I got a little more caught up on beach pictures and even scrapbooked an everyday moment with Alex. The project for this month was fun too - for everyone. My 6 year-old was able to help me make it and my 2-year-old tested it out in the playroom.

I have some other exciting news too. I am changing the name of the monthly kits and project kits to Backroads Design - Remember the Journey. I hope you like it.

May Layouts

I wanted to share with everyone the great layouts I made with this month's kit. It was so easy to create with a pile of coordinating supplies right in front of me with no searching through the store or my stash - give it a try!

The kits are in Atlanta stores now! One of our stores, EMI Scrapbooking (and they have such a great selection of product too) has offered to ship the kits if you are interested as well. Check out my links ...
